Tony Robbins post on New Years is crucial to keep in mind while trying to make changes in your life this coming year. “Research shows that 80% of people give up on their New Years resolution by the 2nd week of February! The reason? What most people call “resolutions” are really just desires or fun things they wish would happen. The majority of people aren’t actually resolving anything within themselves.”
What this means is that you must commit, and recommit to your goals daily. New Year’s is a very specific time of the year, you know millions of people are making resolutions to better their life in some way, but how many of them actually succeed? Have you been successful in accomplishing your resolutions in 2017? Do you want to make actual change in your life?
Here are some fool proof ways to crush your goals in 2018:
1- Clarify your vision. What this means is “what” specific result do you want to accomplish, and why. Have a crystal clear vision!
2- Educate yourself on your goals. If its weight loss for example; take initiative to study some nutrition, exercise, and what causes weight loss. Don’t be fooled by quick fix solutions, remember everything takes time.
3- Take responsibility. If you don’t accomplish your goals by a set date hold yourself accountable. If you don’t trust yourself with accountability just yet, make a public declaration. One tactic that works is: donate an “$X”amount, if you don’t achieve “Y” by a said date to a charity of your choice.
4- Reward yourself. Any progress is good progress, take the time to acknowledge the success in your journey and most importantly keep doing.
Remember, it’s all in your hands!
